Hey Amy!

Every year so many of you run around buying fancy gifts, making dinner reservations and even comissioning paintings (yes, guilty as charged).  I realized a few years ago all I wanted was words.  I wanted a valentine.  A simple card with a few words inside that told of the love felt for me.  It did not have to come from a store, it did not have to sing.  It just simply had to say the words in the heart of the giver.  I felt this way about my lover but also my mother and my friends.  All I ever wanted and still want is a simple valentine that can just say “Be Mine”.

So today, the day before St. Valentine’s Day, sit down and compose what lives in your heart.  This ‘holiday’ doesn’t have to be about spending money on things that will fade away.  It can be the one day out of the year you pause and express yourself.
