Boba Fett-uccine
Welcome to the best cookbook ever created in the history of cookbooks–the Star Wars Cookbook. I love me some Star Wars. Return of the Jedi is on the TiVo and is the ole standby on good days and bad. Anyway, I love this cookbook. The photos are funny and the recipes are easy for a child but delicious for adults to create. Today I am sharing the pasta dish named after one of my favorite characters–Boba Fett.
Ingredients:
1 small head broccoli
1 small head cauliflower
1 small zucchini
3 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. bottled pasta sauce
3 quarts water
1/2 lb. fettuccine noodles
grated Parmesan cheese
On a cutting board, cut off the florets. Repeat with the cauliflower. Cut zucchini into thin round slices. Fill a medium saucepan with water and bring to a boil over high heat. Add broccoli, cauliflower and zucchini and cook until tender, about 4 minutes. Drain vegetables and return to saucepan. Add pasta sauce and cook over low heat, stirring occasionally.
In the meantime, cook fettuccine according to directions on packaging. Drain pasta when complete and toss with sauce. Transfer to serving bowl and sprinkle Parmesan cheese before serving.
May the force of the fettuccine be with you.
